Be sure and visit Guana Cay for the famous Sunday Pig Roast at Nippers Bar. Come enjoy the music, the food, famous Rum punch and the gorgeous beach. If you're not staying on Guana, most settlements will have a boat headed there, just ask around.

The Fowl Cay Preserve, and Pelican Cays National underwater Parks lye within the Sea of Abaco. A short boat trip can take you to these shallow, protected reefs where both novice and experienced divers and snorkels can enjoy the reef, and a picnic lunch on one of the many near by deserted beaches.
The Hopetown Lighthouse on Elbow Cay is Abaco's most famous landmark. The red and white striped lighthouse in Hopetown Harbour was recently renovated, and is one of only two kerosene-powered lights in the world. A climb the to the top will yield stunning panoramic views of the outer Cays and Elbow Cay's sheltered harbor.
There's no shortage of beaches in Abaco, most of them completely deserted, on uninhabited cays. Munjack Cay has a two mile beach with shallow waters perfect for couples looking for a romantic walk, or young children who want to play in the calm waters. Tahiti Beach at the south end on Elbow Cay is a picturesque, powder white beach lined with Palm trees, surrounded by calm water. On the Atlantic side of any cay you will find a beach perfect for walks, body surfing or boogie boarding. Crab Cay, Fiddle Cay and No Name Cay, voted one of the most romantic islands by Island magazine, are all easily accessible by anyone with a rental boat.
Two of the biggest attractions to Abaco are the warm, Gin clear waters, and Diving the Great Abaco Barrier Reef, the worlds third largest barrier reef. The reef runs close to 100 miles from Walkers Cay, to about 20 miles south of Elbow Cay, in places the reef is less than 50 feet from shore. Elkhorn, Brain and Star coral form caves and trails that lead to coral gardens filled with tropical fish in every color. There are also numerous dive spots at the edge of the reef where spotting Caribbean reef sharks is almost guaranteed.

The Sea of Abaco is one of the safest cruising grounds in the world, ranging from 1.5 miles to over 5 miles wide. This sheltered body of water averages 12' throughout its entire 100 miles, offering calm, safe, obstacle free cruising. Here even novice boaters can comfortably navigate from cay to cay for a day of shopping, or to one of our many deserted beaches.
